Field Notes

Description:

Emerged from a dark fuzzy caterpillar that I thought was a leopard moth caterpillar. Mostly black and white . Hind wings mostly light colored with a bit of pinkish orange where the wing is closest to the body. I’ll have to upload another picture of hindwing. Some blue and orange coloring along the abdomen.

Habitat:

Found the dark fuzzy on the sidewalk in urban area of Guatemala. Shortly after I collected it, it pupated on Jan 13. Emerged Feb 26.
