Unknown Spotting ( Crane Fly Pupa )

( ? ) Around 7:00 a.m. in the morning, I went outside, to see if there was anything to photograph, on my front porch. I spotted a dark object, that was lying under the left front window, on a ledge. This object, is a dark brown color. Also, on one end of this object, there is a small, round, black ball, protruding outwards, from this object. This object, is one inch long, and five sixteenth of an inch wide. On photo no. five, at the bottom end of this object, you can see the small, round, black ball, protruding outwards.
