Thank you! I should have picked it when I had the chance, when I went back to get it, I discovered someone else had already beat me to it. Now I will know for next time. : )
I's say it's definitely a true Chanterelle; the irregular and undulating cap, the thick fleshy 'gills', the paler yellow/orange colour, growing under deciduous trees. Good quality photos! I'd expect a false chanterelle to be a darker, more orange colour, have a more rounded cap margin and the gills to be thinner
