Field Notes

Description:

This small Copper, about 1.5 cm long, was settling down for the night and let me take it's picture. It never opened it's wings, however the upper side is an overall coppery orange in males and coppery orange with dark spots in females (see references for pictures). The underside and body were a very pale blue-white. Family Lycaenidae.
