Field Notes

Description:

Small insect with an elongated body. Brownish coloration with two pair of light spots mid abdomen. Pincer type jaws for grasping prey (aphids and other soft bodied arthropods).

Habitat:

Suburban garden. Found in a Rose of Sharon that was infested with aphids.
