Description:
A beautiful low succulent growing on the cliffs above the ocean, Santa Cruz Island, Channel Islands. It receives much of it's moisture from the morning and evening fogs and mist (last picture). It was flowering while we were there in May. This plant is endemic to the coastline of Southern California. It is commonly called Sand Lettuce or Sea Lettuce.
