Description:

A small cicada with a dark mesothroax and nearly black abdomen. The wings are transparent with spots of dark green or black in a few places. The general hue of the insect in dark green with a gray sheen around the head area

Habitat:

This insect was found under a light on the end of a cement block building located in the Amazon rainforest of SE Ecuador.

Notes:

Another interesting cicada. Except for the little bright green ones, it seems every one is unique. I suspect they are color phases of the same species but have no source to check.
