Description:

Looks like a type of heron, white head and gray body

Habitat:

In the Boboli Gardens in Florance, Italy. The bird was on a statue in the middle of a man made concrete pond.

I updated the spotting with some higher-resolution photos taken with an actual camera. After some research, the great blue heron and the gray heron look very similar. The great blue heron inhabits North America while the gray heron lives across Eurasia, and since I spotted this bird in Italy, I think it's a gray heron.
