Description:

Approximately 18mm long, nearly all black except for a small pale tan patch where the wings overlap and two tiny red buttons on the back of the head !? Equipped with a short but powerful looking tapered stabbing mouth.

Habitat:

Attracted to powerful night lights at the local school.

Notes:

Assassin bug... Euro native... "Masked Hunters will deliver a bite comparable to a bee's sting when handled or trapped. The bite can cause swelling that lasts for about a week." - wiki
