Description:

A light purple flower typically found growing on disturbed areas.

Habitat:

Observed growing along the disturbed verge of a semi-urban lane in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.

You're welcome Scott. Very common "weed" here in Thailand. If you touch the pods when ripe they burst open,dispersing the seeds. Very apt common name, Popping Pod
Not sure about the common name Scott. But in the afternoon the flowers fall. Could be Popping Pod.
