Description:

Photo set of a Blue-faced Meadowhawk dragonfly spotted along the boardwalk at Huntley Meadows Park. This individual is a male, as indicated by its coloration: turquoise face; gray thorax; red abdomen with black rings on segments four- to nine; and pale red terminal appendages. Blue-faced Meadowhawk dragonflies are relatively uncommon.
