Description:

some kind of grasshopper or cricket or ???

Hi B8; I usually look through Bugguide to find who is in the area or search their images: http://bugguide.net/node/view/164
Thanks gatorfellows. Any idea which katydid specifically? Is it a Round-headed Katydid? The large red ovipositor seems distinctive.
