Description:

A small moth about 12mm long resting on fallen bark.

Habitat:

In open, dry eucalyptus forest reserved as a state park.

Notes:

Suspecting Dichelia clarana or similar... yet to confirm... fringe colour on folded wings look different?... tortricinae

Thanks but not possible with this one. I don't go where there are probably snakes so one hand with zoom from 2 metres while hanging from a branch is all we got this time :-)

Mark, for this type of dorsal profiles pl use the flash, even if it is bright, that way you can minimise the blur caused by the shaky hands. For side profiles you go down, prostrate on the ground (!), rest both hands and camera and click, or rest the camera on a support, use the self timer and there you go! Hope I'm not imposing?! Good luck.
