Field Notes

Description:

Very small cream coloured cocoons stuck to a tree trunk. Not even a cm.

Habitat:

Tree trunk in semi rural backyard

They were so small I wouldn't have thought of a stick insect first. We do have them in our yard though.
They almost look like stick insect eggs but i'm not sure they're laid on trees. I'll have to keep looking
No worries Kerry. Did they appear to be made of mud?
I actually think it is in the fig family Alice. Will find out for sure.
