Description:

One of two species in the hamadryas family which cannot make a cracking noise with it's wings. This specimen is a female, you can tell because it lacks a white band on the wing. Instead of nectar from flowers, this species feeds on rotting fruit and tree sap.

Habitat:

On the edge of a Belizian rainforest.
