Description:
We've been blessed with a beautiful butterfly today! <br>
Reared in captivity at the art and nature activity center for children, from the fifth instar.
We've watched the larvae grow on the host tree till the fourth instar and decided to watch one of them in captivity. <br>

Host plant -Indian Mast trees or the False Asoka trees.
Notes:
There was so much excitement today morning as we heard one of the students shout, 'Yay! The butterfly's out and I've spotted it first'!!! It was wonderful to watch it fly a little inside the container and soon fly out. Remarkably it first landed on my hand :) and then flew on to the Thuja tree right outside the door. It flew on to other trees, the jasmine creeper and the mango tree and sat there for a while before it took to flight!!! Wow! That was a beautiful experience!
