Field Notes

Description:

Small moth. Dark brown with striking with spots. Underside of abdomen mostly white with a couple of dark bands. This moth looks extremely similar to Desmia maculalis. D. maculalis has a striped underside to the abdomen.

Habitat:

Temperate forest. Blydenburgh County Park, NY.
