Description:

This gal was just having a bug (Pachycoris klugii) for lunch. Large Oxyopid exceeding 2cm in length; green in colour with white markings on abdomen containing tiny red spots; legs are pale with yellow joints and long black spines. Apparently this spider is quite unique, as it's the only known species to spit venom at an attacker as a defensive mechanism.

Habitat:

Semi-arid region in El Cimatario, outside Queretaro.

Never knew that either! Hope it doesn't get tangled in their teeth :D
Yeah, I knew of spitting spiders, but those spit a web in order to catch prey.
How cool. I had no idea any spiders spat venom. Great info. Thank you for sharing :)
