Field Notes

Description:

Woody looking construct hanging out from the bottom of a wooden fence. There were at least three of these in varying lengths. Termite perhaps?

Habitat:

Cedar Point County Park, NY. Wooden fence surrounding a basketball court in a wooded area.

They were several inches long. There were a few of them, all along the same piece of wooden fence. The shorter ones were only 2-3 inches long. The longest one was over 6 inches I think. I don't know why I didn't think to get more pictures :(.
