Description:

Iridescent greenish-gold fly 8-10 mm long with rust-colored eyes.

Habitat:

Pacific Northwest suburban area.

Notes:

Spotted flying around annoyingly, i.e., acting like a fly, in the area of a hedge along a sidewalk. Managed to capture a couple of images when it alighted.
