Jumping Spider

Salticidae; Salticinae; Pristobaeus Simon, 1902. The cephalothorax is black with striking white markings which bracket, and almost surround the lateral eyes. The anterior surface of the abdomen has a black stripe which narrows as it wraps round the lower sides. The dorsal surface starts white above the black stripe and this also wraps about half way round the sides and partially over the upper surface as it fades into yellowish brown. The spinnerets are white. The legs are almost entirely black with some metallic bronze showing through depending on the angle of view. All eight legs have small white patches on the femurs, near the knees.
