Description:

These are pictures of a mother and her baby in a large troop of capuchin monkeys spotted in the outskirts of one of the park beaches.
The baby gesticulated and even seemed to smile or be surprised upon observing the other members of the group.

Habitat:

Manuel Antonio National Park.

Many thanks for your kind comment, Leuba. I am very happy to share it here in PN. It was hilarious to follow this troop because there was almost as many people around following the monkeys as monkyes following people. Unfortunately the monkeys have gotten used to the tourists and accompanying food and they wander around in the expectation to get some scraps. I did not see people directly feeding them but the monkeys are really intelligent and could open the trash cans and get rests of fruits etc. The baby was closely following what all the others did and it looks as if he was really enjoying all the action :-)
