Description:

Three roundish violet petals accented by golden stamens, and the long, iris-like leaves, characterize the Spiderwort, which is often cultivated for it's exotic beauty. It blooms from April to July along roadsides, thicket edges, and in woodland margins from Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Maine south.
