Field Notes

Description:

This was a beautiful great blue heron that was flying across Lake Trant in Virginia Beach, Virginia, just as the fall leaves were in their final stages of changing color.

Habitat:

From the Galapagos north through the Caribbean and Central and much of North America.

Notes:

"Great blue heron against fall foliage!"
This heron was seen while kayaking on Lake Trant. I used burst, a high frame per second, or FPS, rate on a DSLR.
