Field Notes

Description:

1/2" light tan moth with 3 small darker tan bands, 4 small black spots that run along the middle band with many more smaller black spots peppered along the moth and has very small antennae.

Habitat:

Backyard habitat with leaves large enough to land on, over 1/2"

Notes:

Spotted my first last week at Birdsong Nature center near Tallahassee and was surprised to find another one near my backyard.
