Description:

Family: Erebidae. Subfamily: Arctiinae. Tribe: Arctiini (Tiger Moth. Common. Total length: 19-25 mm. Resembles Virgin Tiger Moth, but lacks straight PM line above W-shaped and is usually smaller. Yellow HW is spotted black (not shown). Hosts: low plants.

Habitat:

Woodlands, fields, meadows and gardens. Came to light.
