Description:

A Spotted Deer (also known as a Chital) spotted in Yala National Park, Sri Lanka.

Due to poaching, these deer are only likely to be seen in National Parks in Sri Lanka.

The chital is a moderately sized deer, males are larger than females. Only males develop antlers.

Habitat:

Grasslands
