Harlequin Lady Beetle

Harmonia axyridis, aka “multicolored Asian lady beetle” or the ” harlequin ladybird”. Spotted in late May in Seattle. This beetle is not native, but it is commonly released by gardeners to control aphid populations and has established itself all over north America.
