Field Notes

Description:

Ants in the process of dismantling the old ant-hill and building a new, very impressing one. Foot wide paths were worn into the grass, like spokes, in every direction from the building site, leading both to the old hill and other sources of building material.

Notes:

Is the purpose of the sand foundation to drain away rainwater?
