Field Notes

Notes:

There's plenty of these mantids around, they're fast moving and jump a lot; taking a photo of them is not as easy as could be expected! Anyone knows what species this is? Sorry, they're pretty small and quick so couldn´t take a better one.

Species ID Suggestions

Yersin's ground mantis

Yersiniops sophronicum

It's hard to tell from just this one shot. It is most likely a nymph (not fully grown yet). This would be a nice addition to the Marvelous Mantids of the World mission: http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/15738247
