Field Notes
Habitat:
En maleza no identificada
Notes:
Very interesting photographs. The insect is an Ambush bug (class Insecta, order Hemiptera, family Phymatidae) and very likely belongs to the genus Phymata. I do not know the exact species. Sometimes the phymatids are included as a subfamily of the Assassin bugs (Reduviidae).
Your photographs show an immature individual—a nymph. In photo P1290892.jpg the wing buds show quite clearly and I have added arrows to it to point them out. The adult has fully developed wings, folded flat over the back when not in flight. See Google for photos of adults.
Best wishes.
