Description:

Black bumblebees with light yellow markings as follows: a narrow lateral stripe across the posterior of the abdomen, the anterior of the thorax, and forward of the eyes.

Habitat:

Pacific Northwest suburban area.

Notes:

Spotted gathering pollen from yellow flowers on a hedge. One of the uploaded images shows an individual on the ground adjacent to the hedge.
