Description:

This is a female Stenacron gildersleevei larva. It was not reared but a video was filmed before dissection. 4 others were reared to adulthood. These are the very first public photos of this species. Lewis 1974 A offers a horrible figure of this species figure 16. This sample does have 13 pectinated setae combs on the crown of the maxilla clarifying species concept. here is the microscope video.
