Description:
Pale gray in color with blackish wings and a very long tail. Underparts have a pinkish orange coloring.
Habitat:
Habitats include open areas, forests, and pastures. This one was seen hanging out on an electrical wire above a field at our school.
Notes:
Fun Facts: 1. Scissor-tailed flycatchers can form flock of up to 1,000 birds. 2. Artificial materials (string, paper, cloth etc.) can account for close to 1/3 of the weight of its nests. 3. They feed on many insects that can be harmful to agriculture
