Description:

This insect was perched vertically on the wall with wings held vertically and folded. Moth or butterfly. it was 11 o'clock in the night and I was looking for moths under the bright lights outside the super market. To me this looks like some brush footed butterfly.

"Geometridae" are the only moths whose adults atand with wings folded vertically. http://www.diffen.com/difference/Butterfly_vs_Moth Antenna could be used to differentiate between butterfly and moth. Castniidae, are the only moths with clubbed antenna,
