Description:
Medium frog, they jump really fast and super active, confused them with the Green Paddy Frog. They are usually brown, like the one in the photo, and with lighter stripes. Other individuals can have other unique patterns, I've seen some more darker, lighter, yellow, reddish or even green, but the most common is brown with stripes.
Habitat:
The first three pictures are of a juvenile frog I spotted chilling on my orchid. The last three photos are of a slightly larger individual spotted at Nov. 1, 2021. All of them spotted at night, which means they are active at night! Common species, widespread throughout Southeast Asia, lives in freshwater environment, either natural or manmade.
Notes:
Common before but I've noticed their existence slowly disappearing around me. Tagalog name is "palaka/paka" but our local name for it is "manwit" idk why..
