Description:

Caterpillar parasitized by a wasp. The cocoons came off of the caterpillar easily. I kept the cocoons in a jar and put the caterpillar on a bush. Unfortunately the wasps emerged and died before I saw them two days later.

What you see on the caterpillar are actually cocoons from the wasp larvae. Still interesting! Neat find.
