Field Notes

Description:

White undersides and back. Black and white bars on wings. Tail feathers white with black bars that show up as spots. Black stripe from bill over crown and down back of neck. Another bold black stripe across eye and and one down the neck from face. Similar to the Hairy Woodpecker with some differences. Downy is smaller in size and shorter bill.

Habitat:

Woodland areas. This bird preferred Eucalyptus.

Maybe when I viewed it, it fixed it. And now I added info
