Field Notes

Description:

These hummingbirds were less abundant in the area than the fiery-throated. The latter were more territorial, often driving away the few former one. In any case they could also come around and profit from the feeders ocassionally.
As for size they are around 10 cm long and mostly green with a turquoise cheek and similarly colored tail feathers.

Habitat:

Paraiso Quetzal. San Gerardo de Dota/Cerro de la Muerte
