Description:

My dog chased a groundhog up a small tree in our backyard! It was pretty cool! We got to watch it "play dead" there for awhile blinking at us. Then watched from inside the house as it came down.

Oh. I thought that meant that it was a positive ID. I have made suggestions in the past that were incorrect & I get a "0" & a "negative" sign. Hmmmm
Sarah, the plus on the ID suggestion in produced when you make the suggestion (it's yours). Other users can add a plus to the suggestion if they agree with the suggestion.
Wonder why it gave me a positive ID on a black bear? :0
Hi Gabe, great shot of a Groundhog! Since you know the identity of your organism, please add the scientific name to your spotting to make it complete.
It's not a black bear!! lol. It's a ground hog!
