Field Notes

Description:

Large moth, keeps its fore wings stretched, only occasionally closing. Wingspan: 100mm.

Habitat:

Cold place, thick forests, lots of rhododendron trees. Altitude: 8,000ft.

Notes:

This is a new species in my collection. So I was quite excited spotting it. Spotted on a family trip (also mothing at nights!) to remote North Sikkim.
