Field Notes

Habitat:

Grassy area under Catalina Cherry trees

Notes:

Its call is an grating “Chree?” Its song is given from a high perch “Chip chip chip tseeeee!” You can often hear this sparrow thrashing through leaf litter in search of food. This is the Catalina Island subspecies and it possibly has albinism. This one was at Cherry Cove.

I should have clarified "subspecies". Thanks Ashley!
Tons of people have seen this species on Noah. Maybe not the subspecies, but tons of the species.
I don't think that anyone has seen this species before... have they?
Congratulations JoshuaGSmith, this is the first Catalina Spotted Towhee on Project Noah!
