The tree was cut down but its a pine tree can you tell me the scientific name?

Wow, that's intriguing, scottme58. If this is a tree that you can visit again, it would be great to see: 1) a photo of the upper part of the tree and its leaves; and 2) closer photos of a couple of the bumps, especially the centers.
