Description:
A small moth with a wing span of about 20 mm. Overlapping wings had grey, white and black patterns. Wings were held flat. Protruding mouthparts. Dark prominent eyes. Antennae were long and swept back.
Left fore wing was slightly damaged.

Suburban garden
Notes:
My thanks to Peter Marriott for the ID. He explains that there are many black and white moths in this genus. The species needs confirmation.
