Thank you for correcting its ID, Martin. I guess that that is the problem of working late at night...
Nice scarab beetle. It you notice the lamellate antennae you will recognize the family is Scarabidae. Leaf beetles are filiform and always with 11 segments (I think). http://earbugs.blogspot.com.au/2010/09/antennation.html
