Description:

In this newt species, there are three stages in life. The first is as an aquatic juvenile. The second is a terrestrial juvenile, known as a newt (pictured above). The third is an aquatic adult.

Habitat:

Found under a piece of bark.

Found at Snake Road in southern Illinois.

Notes:
