Field Notes

Habitat:

Suburban yard

Notes:

When I was a lot younger, I spent a Saturday morning collecting all of these carpenter bees that were feeding on our morning glories. They got so mad that we had to release them at a park and hide in the car afterwards. These are the largest bees that I know of in our area.
