Field Notes

Description:

almost 0.5cm, body mostly black, long hair tufts all over body, dorsal three large white spots and two pasteriorly placed smaller pair, anterior abdomen white crescent line faint, iridescent green fangs. top of head flat

Habitat:

grass and goldenrod meadow, mid-day in direct sun near water

Notes:

jumping from grass blade stem to grass blade "mid canopy" in goldenrod and grass meadow, at one point raised anterior pedipalps and first pair of appendages in my general direction after staring right at the camera lense for a while and holding position on the grassblade perched sideways
