Habitat:

this 10-15cm female Huntsman Spider has hidden herself beneath the bark of a gum tree. That splash of white is a huge egg case. She may be hunting from ambush rather than her usual roaming methods to stay secure near the safety of cover she trusts

Notes:

The identification of species has changed and the local one may be recognised as another, Looking into it
