Description:

Sorry I did not get a full body picture. Since it was a juvenile, the tail was a beautiful blue.

The reason I got a close-up was getting the ID correct. The five-lined skinks look almost identical to broad-headed skinks. They coexist in the area where this one was found, so you have to look at the scales to properly ID them.

This one, a five-lined skink, has 4 upper labial scales (see second photo). Broad-headed skinks have 5. There are several other scales that you can look at, but this photo clearly shows the upper labial scales.

Habitat:

On some bluffs in an area close to Snake Road, but not on it.
